User types

This article explains different types of users in Dataedo:

Data Stewards (Pro/Enterprise)

Data Stewards (or Editors) are users that can build the data catalog and document data using Dataedo Desktop and Dataedo Web Catalog.

Data Stewards come with Dataedo Pro or Dataedo Enterprise subscription plan.

Community Users (Enterprise Viewers)

Community Users (or Enterprise Viewers) are users that can browse and search Dataedo Web Catalog or Dataedo HTML Plus, and from 9.1 also contribute to the community with comments, ratings, warnings, post and answer questions (using Data Community module).

Enterprise Viewers are purchased as part of Dataedo Enterprise subscription plan.

Free Viewers

Viewers have read only access to documentation exported with:

• Dataedo HTML Basic
• PDF
• Excel
