Dataedo 4.1 has been released – see what’s new

We are happy to announce that Dataedo 4.1, with a number of valuable features, is available. Here is a list of major extensions.

Documentation progress tracking

You can now easily track progress of documentation of any database. It can be database documented in Dataedo or database documented within database engine (using extended properties in SQL Server or comments in Oracle). Just import it to repository and with one click you can see to what extent objects are described.

More about progress tracking soon.

User-defined relations and unique keys

This is what makes us really different. We don’t just read metadata from database engine. We let you define one too. It is not always that table relationships or unique keys are defined in database, for various reasons. With Dataedo you can define and document those logical entities in repository. It will make the use, maintenance and development of databases much easier.

Excel export

In 4.1 we added another format – MS Excel. It is useful if you need to extract your data dictionary to further work with it.
