In today’s data-driven world, understanding the value of your data is essential. With the Dataedo 25.2 release, we’re introducing Data Products, logical groupings of related assets that deliver a specific data functionality or service, such as a dashboard, report, or API.

Unlike traditional data domains, which mirror your organizational structure, Data Products reflect how your data is actually used. They help you: - Organize around business value, by grouping assets into real-world use cases. - Support clear ownership, by linking each product to technical and business owners. - Boost discoverability and reuse, by enabling easy search and cross-team visibility. - Simplify your catalog, by providing structure without added complexity.

Seamless Scheduling, Right from the Portal

Task scheduling just got easier. In Dataedo 25.2, you can now schedule and manage tasks, like metadata imports and profiling refreshes, entirely within the Dataedo Portal.

What this means for you: - If you had any tasks scheduled previously, we’ve automatically migrated them to the Portal. You don’t need to take any action. - Centralize task management, with schedules and execution logs in one place. - Manage Connections and Credentials with ease, reusing and updating shared settings effortlessly.

This shift simplifies your workflow and puts task visibility at your fingertips.

Note: You can no longer schedule imports or profiling via Dataedo Desktop or command line as of version 25.2.

Better Data Quality

This release brings a powerful set of enhancements to Data Quality, giving you greater control and transparency:

• Ignore individual failed rows, and add explanatory comments.
• Suggested Data Quality rules for tables and columns that you can accept with one click.
• Score terms at a glance, with aggregated pass/fail ratios.
• Enjoy syntax-highlighted SQL, for better readability.

Streamlined Authentication with SAML Enhancements

The Dataedo 25.2 release makes it easier for IT and security teams to manage user access at scale:

• Support for multiple SAML Identity Providers, including Azure AD, Okta, or Keycloak.
• Sync user groups from your Identity Provider, so you can manage permissions in one place.

This means less manual admin work, and a consistent, automated user management experience.

Connector Changes

We’ve expanded and improved our connector capabilities to support your evolving tech stack:

• New Strategy One (MicroStrategy ONE) connector, with full metadata and lineage visualization.
• Enhanced dbt connector, offering column-level lineage and improved object handling.
• Refined Tableau hierarchy and lineage, with clearer datasource subtypes.
• Power BI connector improvements, including support for Pro and Premium workspaces and lineage for Dataflows and DirectQuery.
• Lineage for SQL Server procedures and SSAS named queries.
• Linked Source updates, allowing lineage across databases.
• Service Principal support extended to more connectors, enabling secure, schedulable imports.

Security Upgrades

• Brute-force protection, with rate limiting for failed login attempts.
• One-time access code rate limits, to prevent spam or misuse.
• Secure headers, such as HSTS and Referrer-Policy, now applied for stronger browser-level protection.
• Audit logging for user and permission changes, helping you stay compliant.
