Dataedo Desktop Overview

Dataedo Desktop is a Windows application for editors, users that build catalog and document data.

With Dataedo Desktop users can:

  1. Add connections to data sources and import metadata to catalog,
  2. Describe data assets (tables, columns, etc.),
  3. Complement data model in the repository with manual primary/unique keys and relationships,
  4. Add manual columns and tables,
  5. Export documentation to HTML, PDF and Excel,
  6. Browse and comment on schema change tracking reports,
  7. Find and classify sensitive information,
  8. Create metadata repository,
  9. Define custom fields
