What to expect
Within Redash
Dataedo during import from API checks ID's of objects and build column-level lineage. It is done for following lineages:
- From Query to Visualization
- From Visualization to Dashboard
From source database
Dataedo build object-level lineage between Redash Queries and objects from other databases based on Linked Sources.
Troubleshooting
I don't see data lineage for queries, visualizations or dashboards
- Rerun import of the source - maybe schema was imported in older version or configuration was incorrect.
I don't see data lineage from Source database
- Make sure the source object has Linked Source with correctly assigned database
- Rerun import of the source - maybe schema was imported in older version or configuration was incorrect.
