What to Expect
In SSIS you can define your Parameters and Variables.
Dataedo imports these elements into Packages as Parameters.
Values import is not enabled by default, if you want Values to be imported you must follow the steps below from How to import Values
How to import Values
During import at the stage of defining Extended properties, set extended property Values.
Then assign Field to which value will be added.
If you have not defined such a field before (e.g., when you impot Values for the first time) then click Add new custom field.
It is important not to import values into any field other than the newly created field specifically intended for this purpose. Selecting fields such as Status, Also known as, Owner, or Title may lead to unintended results.
Then if you add a new custom field 1. click Add 2. fill in the title - e.g. Value. 3. select Text from the drop-down list 4. save the new custom field
After adding a new field, you can select it from the drop-down list.
